Diego Costa will hold a peace talk with Chelsea manager Antonio Conte this week but will not sign a new deal, The Sun reports
According to the report, the unsettled striker has told his close pals that he will not sign a new deal with the blues, amid offers for his services in China.
It was gathered that the peace talk will only delay Costa inevitable departure in the summer should it be successful.
Costa is under contract until 2019 and Chelsea have already offered a big pay rise on his £150,000-a-week wages in return for a long-term commitment.
But the 28-year-old striker is unwilling to commit himself to the club.
He has since received a staggering counter-offer from Chinese side Tianjin Quanjian worth £570,000 a week, which is good to force the Spaniard out of Stamford Bridge this month.
Costa was dropped from the squad which won 3-0 at Leicester City on Saturday, January 14, as punishment for his training-ground row with manager Antonio Conte.
However, Conte claimed that Costa’s absence from Chelsea’s 3-0 win over Leicester City was solely because of a back injury.
The Spanish striker is expected to return to action on Sunday, December 22, when Chelsea host Hull City.
